Things to do in France
France keeps earning its reputation because it treats food, landscape, art, and daily life as parts of the same argument.
France is famous enough to feel familiar before you arrive, then specific enough to prove you wrong. The country shifts from Atlantic surf towns to Alpine passes, limestone villages, wine regions, Mediterranean ports, and cities where museums and markets matter equally.
The smartest trips pick a region and give it time, or connect a few places by train without turning every day into transit. July and August are busy and often hot, while May, June, September, and October usually deliver the best mix of weather, produce, and breathing room.
