Things to do in United Arab Emirates

The United Arab Emirates turns desert geography, Gulf trade, futuristic skylines, and heritage districts into a country of bold contrasts.

The United Arab Emirates is often read through its towers, but the country is more interesting when you notice the layers underneath. Desert reserves, mangroves, mountain roads, souks, museums, beaches, and ambitious architecture all reflect a place moving quickly while still rooted in Gulf culture.

The main gateway is a natural starting point, but a richer trip looks beyond one skyline and gives time to the coast, desert, and older trading neighborhoods. November through March is the prime outdoor season, while summer is intensely hot and best planned around indoor culture, late evenings, and water-based escapes.
