Things to do in Ireland
Ireland is small on a map and huge in atmosphere, with weather, music, coastline, and conversation doing half the work.
Ireland's appeal is not only its green scenery, though the cliffs, peninsulas, lakes, and boglands are hard to overstate. The country's real character comes from the way ancient sites, literary cities, pub sessions, working harbors, and sharp local wit sit side by side.
Build an Ireland trip around time, because the roads are slower than they look and the best stops are often unplanned. May, June, and September are excellent for longer daylight and lighter crowds, while winter suits city stays, music, and a more intimate mood.
